Notes: Bulletin of the Almyros Philanthropic Society of Othrys, an antiquarian journal of high quality, with communication about the acts and expeditions of the Antiquarian Society of Almyros, Magnesia. A scholar whose last name is Giannopoulos was active in this milieu. He is highly regarded nowadays. Now that research on Thessaly experiences a renaissance, this is a valuable resource.

The Philarchaios Etaireia Almyrou "Othrys" was officially founded on April 28th, 1896. The company’s intention was to gather, save and preserve the antiquities of the Thessalian city of Almyros. They gathered all the artifacts in the Archaeological Museum of Almyros that was also built with their own money. Shortly after the founding of the company, they established the publication "Deltion tēs en Almyrō Philarchaiou etaireias tēs Othryos." 7 issues were published between 1899-1911. After being inactive for many years, mostly because of the Wars and the general situation in Greece, they became active again and restarted publishing in 1997. Their goal was the study, preservation, and recording of the history of Almyros. This first issue records the founding of the company, their activities and archaeological excursions. The second issue contains all the inscriptions that are in the Museum. The third issue contains all the activities of the company for the 1899-1900 period. The fourth issue contains the activities of the company during 1900-1901, the inscriptions that were found during that period and some historic monographs. The fifth issue contains the company's actions during 1901-1902, the sixth issue during 1903-1905, and the seventh issue during 1903-1905, and the seventh issue during 1908-1911.
