Subject: Freemasons in Greece.
Notes: It was the first masonic journal in Greece. The founder and editοr was the philologist Emm. Galanēs. The journal was monthly in the beginning. It contained records of the meetings, and regulations of the brotherhood, the lodge. In 1884 the publishing paused for a while and in 1886 it stopped along with the suspension of operations of the freemasons. It was re-issued in 1888 with only one issue, then in 1889 with 2 issues covering the speeches of the masons and for the first time a masonic dictionary was published. In 1890, there was only one issue and in 1892 the journal publishing again stopped. In 1897, there are 3 issues describing the atrocities in Crete committed by the Turks. In 1902, there is only 1 issue and in 1907, 2 issues again about the atrocities in Macedonia and Thrace. The result was the reproduction of those pages in the “Masonic Herald” no 1. Lastly in 1908, there were 4 issues. In 1909, the masonic lodge resumed its operations with 5 issues, in 1910 and 1911, 4 issues were published and then it ceased publication again due to the general conscription. In 1913, the initial editor Emm. Galanēs left. In 1923, Al. Alexandropoulos became the new editor until 1932 when the journal was edited jointly with the 2 masons under the name «Πυθαγόρας Γνώμων» until the Second World War. It started again in 1950 under the title “Tectoniko deltio” and later “Tectoniko deltio Pythagoras.”
