Notes: Siōn was a weekly journal with a religious content (Greek Orthodox) edited from the archimandrite and later metropolitan of Zakynthos, Dionysios Latas from 1881-1889. He was a theologian who also studied law, and who participated in the Chicago 1893 World Parliament of Religions. The subject of the journal was theological with sermons, articles about Bible passages, book criticism, and even lexical interpretations of religious vocabulary.
